Mawrid is a reminder between things. It is not a replacement for a mushaf, and it is not a teacher.

Muslim apps have a history with location data. So we don't ask you to trust us — we show you the boundary, and you can check every word of it yourself.

We won't claim nothing ever leaves your device — that wouldn't be true. When you enable prayer times, your city and country are sent to AlAdhan to compute them. When you play a recitation, the audio streams from Quran.com's servers. Those requests carry an IP address, as any web request does. Everything else — your settings, your saved ayahs, your dhikr count — stays in your browser's own storage.
The page you're reading sets no cookies and loads nothing from any other server. The fonts are self-hosted. Your local prayer times were computed in your browser, from your time zone alone. Open the network tab and see.
Where the words come from
Mawrid makes no religious claim of its own. It shows you the text, and tells you exactly where each part of it comes from.

Everything Mawrid does
No memorisation tracking. No tajwid grading. No streaks, points or leaderboards. No community feed. No mobile or desktop app yet. And it doesn't replace your mushaf.

Who made this
I built Mawrid for myself first — a small, quiet way to meet an ayah in the gaps of an ordinary day, without an account, without being counted, and without anything asking for my attention in return.
It stays free because there is no server to pay for and no data to sell. If you find any error in the text or a translation, tell me and I'll fix it that week — for a Quran, that matters more than anything else here.
